Lots of changes
going on! First of all, I would like to announce Mike "Lobos" Villalobos as
additional guitarist for Descendants of Erdrick!
He totally rocks, and we are making a lot of significant
progress. We have live rehearsal recordings of a few selected
tracks available at Descendants of
Erdrick Myspace Page. We are also learning new songs at
rapid-speed, so our repetoire has grown significantly! We have
new videos available on Youtube as well.
As for the original material, I'm pleased to announce Chris Taylor on bass! We work
so well together with Descendants of Erdrick -- I just needed to bring
him on board!
This website is also in need of an overhaul (again!), so I'm currently
in the process of coming up with a better design for both my original
material and Descendants of Erdrick.

A bit late for
Happy New Year? Twenty-Ten will
rock. ;) Descendants
of Erdrick will
be performing at Elysium in Austin on January 21st. More
details
will be added shortly. As for other random news, I can
sometimes
be found in my live streaming channel on Justin TV. Mostly I
play
classic games with voiceover commentary. I'm still working
out
the kinks of the system (and figuring out how to stream live video from
a camera), so the streaming will become more sophisticated over time.
Feel free to visit the channel here: www.justin.tv/amandalepre
I am not always on, so "Favorite" my channel, and you will receive an
e-mail when I go live!

The
newly-remastered A Premonition EP has its first-ever review!
Big thanks to Big Western Flavor for such inspiring words!
(and catching all of those oh-so-subtle video game
references!)

A Premonition [EP]
Amanda Lepre
Lately
arrived in Austin and looking to expand her musical universe (not
unlike myself), Amanda Lepre
is one of the most promising locals I've yet uncovered in my Demo Sweat
column. There are a lot of gifted songwriters and a lot of good singers
in Central Texas, but often the two skills
seem to be mutually
exclusive. Lepre, who's got a powerful alto and also sings dazzling
high harmonies on A Premonition,
is a rarity. She's got a great
voice, which is something you simply can't acquire, but as a songwriter
and guitarist she shows a real commitment to supporting her gift with
hard work and careful consideration.

Welcome
to the
newly-renovated Amanda Lepre Official Website! The website is
still under heavy construction... this is what happens when it's a DIY!
Additions
include an official online
store, where you
can purchase CD's, stickers, t-shirts, and posters based on my solo
work as well as my video game music instrumental band Descendants of Erdrick.
Also, make sure
you sign up for e-mail updates!
The Descendants of Erdrick played an extremely successful string of
shows at Classic Gamefest '09 in Austin! David Conger, Chris
Taylor, and I had an amazing time performing for fellow video game
fans! We performed classic Nintendo-era songs from games like
Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Metroid,
Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and Punch-Out!!. Thanks to the staff of Game Over
Videogames for
making it happen, and Geek
Bombast
for excellent video footage! I will post an update when the
videos have been uploaded.
The recording process is going slow, but steady. Demo
versions of
select
tracks are available for your listening pleasure on the Myspace page.
We
expect the recording process to be completed at the end of the year,
and the album should be finished for release during the early parts of
2010!
